Boarding the aircraft
Tigerair operates a single-class cabin and gives you the option to select a seat when making your reservation. This is chargeable on a per sector per passenger basis via the website or the call centre. Extra legroom/emergency exit seats can also be purchased on a per sector per passenger. Please note that the emergency exit seats have conditions attached. Please click here for more details.
Where a family group is traveling and contains family members under 15 years and one member wishes to sit at an emergency exit row, under no circumstances must the family be separated and they must be sat in non-emergency exit row seats. For example, if a father and /or mother are seated in emergency exit seats, it is prohibited to seat their children in the standard seat in front or behind them. If the father and/or mother are in row 12, then their children cannot be seated in row. The family must be seated together in non-emergency exit seating.
Family group travelling where no individual member of the party is under 15 years can be seated without restriction across both exit seating and non-exit row seating within the cabin. Passengers seated in emergency exit seating must meet the required criteria.
You should be at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Boarding closes 10 minutes prior to departure. Passengers arriving late at the boarding gate will not be accepted for travel, their bags will be offloaded and no compensation given. For travel on a later flight, you will be required to purchase a new ticket at the applicable fare.
At many Tigerair destinations the aircraft is boarded using the aircraft steps. If you feel that you require assistance in boarding, please contact our call centres at least 72 hours prior to departure in order that we may facilitate your embarkation.
