Travelling in a group

Group bookings

Passengers travelling in a group of 10 (ten) or more on the same departure and arrival flights may request for a group fare. Group fares are quoted based on the specified travel dates and group size, and are subject to availability. The fare and seats will only be secured upon full payment within 5 (five) working days from booking confirmation.

Conditions of carriage (Group booking terms and conditions)

  1. General

    1. 1.1 Group travel is subject to the Tigerair Terms and Conditions of Carriage. In the event that the Terms and Conditions of Carriage and these terms are inconsistent, these terms shall prevail.

    2. 1.2 A "Group" is defined as 10 (ten) or more passengers who are travelling together on the same flight with the same itinerary. Parties of less than 10 (ten) are not eligible for group fares and conditions, and will be referred to the Tigerair call centre.

    5. 1.5 The Singapore office is open Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) from 0900 to 1700 Singapore Time, and the Australia office is open Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) from 0900 to 1700 Melbourne Time.

  2. Quotations

    1. 2.1 Where possible the Group Sales Department will provide a quote within two working days.

    2. 2.2 All quotes are subject to seat availability. Space will not be reserved at the time of quotation. The fare will only be confirmed upon receiving full payment for the reservation.

  3. Reservations and bookings

    1. 3.1 Group reservations can only be made through the Tigerair Groups Department. 'Group Organiser' means the person representing the Group who makes the booking and pays on behalf of the Group. The Group Organiser or Travel Agent will be responsible for advising each Group member of information regarding the conditions of travel, flight numbers, arrival and departure times, check-in procedures, baggage allowances and payment advice.

    2. 3.2 On completion of a Group booking (when full payment has been received and Group members' names have been entered) a copy of the Group booking will be faxed or emailed to the Group Organiser/Travel Agent. It is the responsibility of each Group member to check the booking and ensure flight details and names are correct.

    3. 3.3 After full payment, all cancellations are strictly non-refundable.

  4. Payment

    1. 4.1 Bookings departing beyond 1 month must be paid in full within 5 working days from confirmation. Bookings departing within 1 month will require payment within 3 working days from confirmation; bookings made within 7 days of departure require full payment immediately.

  5. Form of payment

    1. 5.1 The preferred method of payment is by a pre-deposit into your Travel Agency's account or Corporate Credit Card. Please contact our groups desk for bank account details.

    2. 5.2 Travel agencies wishing to pay by cheque should make payments to Tigerair Singapore Pte Ltd. Please fax the bank in slip to us at the time of payment. Please allow three working days for cheques to clear and your reservation to be confirmed.

  6. Name lists

    1. 6.1 The full name list of the Group's members should be submitted to Tigerair no later than 14 days prior to departure.

  7. Amendments

    1. 7.1 Any flight amendments to the booking will be subject to a change fees plus any fare difference.

    2. 7.2 After confirmation, Group members who elect to split away from the main Group, do so at a fare which is same or higher than the originally quoted fare for the group, and will incur a change fee per person per sector changed. Tigerair reserves the right to re-quote should the group size fall below 10 passengers.

    3. 7.3 The Group Organiser/Travel Agent is the only person authorised to request amendments to a Group reservation or booking. All requests to amend a Group reservation or booking must be made through the Tigerair Groups Department.

    4. 7.4 Name changes are permitted via the call centre upon payment of the applicable change fee (see Fees and Charges) plus any additional cost between the original total price paid and the price payable for the new flight at the time the change is made. Name changes may be made up to four(4) hours before the time of scheduled departure subject to our call centre operating hours.

  8. Cancellation fees

    1. 8.1 No refunds will be paid in respect of cancellations including but not limited to medical circumstances.

  9. Travel insurance

    1. 9.1 Tigerair strongly recommends that all passengers have adequate personal travel insurance to cover all aspects of your journey with us.

  10. Tax invoices

    1. 10.1 The Tigerair printed itinerary can be retained as a tax invoice.

  11. Baggage

    1. 11.1 Interline Baggage
      Tigerair does not interline baggage to other carriers.

    2. 11.2 Registered Baggage allowance

      1. The baggage allowance applying to each Group member is in accordance with Tigerair Terms & Conditions of carriage.

      2. Luggage Upsize™ options are also available for group reservations. Please see our Luggage Upsize™ for more details.

      3. Prior notification is required if a Group has a large amount of excess baggage, or bulky or oversized baggage. Failure to do so may result in the baggage not being uplifted on the same flight as the Group.

      4. Passengers travelling on the same booking reference may combine their checked baggage in accordance to the relevant Luggage Upsize™ option selected. For example a reservation containing 25 passengers would have a total combined allowance of 25 x 15kg = 375kg. Each individual item of baggage must not exceed 30 kilograms in weight.

      5. Excess baggage fees cannot be waived.

    3. 11.3 Hand Luggage
      Each Group member is allowed 2 pieces of hand luggage which must not weigh more than 10kg, and not exceeding 54cm x 38 cm x 23 cm in length (test units are available at check-in).

  12. Stopovers

    1. Stopovers are not permitted.
  13. Onward connections

    1. Tigerair is a point to point low fare carrier, whose focus is to provide low cost air fares and on time services. For these reasons we do not facilitate the transfer of passengers or baggage to other carriers or services. Factors which may affect our scheduled services, include delays and disruptions caused by inclement weather, air traffic delays, strikes, technical requirements, late aircraft, etc. All passengers planning to make onward connections are advised to allow sufficient time, and to consider the above factors when planning onward connections. Tigerair accepts no responsibility for any loss or expense caused by a misconnection.
